Komodo National Park Cruise
This was a family orientated trip mixed with activities for adults and children. Everyday we set up camp on private beaches to paddle board, kayak and snorkel from. Throughout the trip we were blessed with extraordinary sunsets with Mount Sangeang slowly expelling volcanic gas and ash as can be seen from this picture.
The surface conditions and water visibility was exceptional so during the diving and snorkelling it was easy for all to view Manta Rays in Batu Monco bay and Turtles alongside flourishing soft coral gardens in Gili Lawa. The guests were particularly blessed with a special show while on the Komodo Dragon walk as they witnessed one of the lizards sharing food with a Wild Pig. (Please see the video posted on our Facebook page on 6th July if you are interested in seeing that for yourself https://www.facebook.com/sailingyachtlamima) On the final night we all watched the Flying Fox Bats on their daily migration from a Mangrove Island to the main land of Flores to gorge on fruit for the night.
The trip was rounded up with a day of watersports including Wave Runners, Wake Boarding and Water Skis and some highly skilled record breaking jumping from the main deck into the sea.
Then it was time to say goodbye which became all too difficult for some. It is never “Goodbye” from Lamima’s Captain and Crew, we say “See you later.”
