Ifan has been leading the most famous Indonesian sailing boats all over Southeast Asia for the past 15 years. He has a wealth of local experience and leads with confidence. A true pioneer, he captained the first expedition boat throughout Indonesia plotting the dive sites and discovering new endemic marine life as they went. He is a great story teller with a vivid imagination and loves to share tales of Indonesian folklore and his adventures at sea. In his spare time he loves reading and cycling.
Arif Setyawan (Wawan) is your cruise coordinator on board and also a dive instructor. He has extensive local knowledge of traditional Indonesian culture and is passionate about wildlife and marine life. He will accompany you on excursions with enthusiasm and takes pride in ensuring the highest level of service possible. With well over 5000 dives to date (he stopped counting years ago) and his professional manner, guests can be assured of the very best dive experience in the world’s top dive sites.
With experience of working on commercial and tourist boats throughout Indonesia and holding his Class 3 ticket, Septian is more than qualified to oversee a high standard of safety onboard Lamima. He takes pride in handling maintenance while off charter and has a wealth of knowledge in vessel management. His other interests include keeping fit and trying to master paddleboarding, much to the delight of the other crew members.
Musry is from “Ara”, the mecca for traditional boat building in Indonesia. He worked in Borneo and Sulawesi for 15 years building Phinisi’s and the last twelve years as an officer on traditional sailing boats. Musry is a very experienced and respected seaman and carpenter. Naturally joyful, Musry loves to dance and listen to music.
Roy is from central Java and is the sunshine of the yacht with his joyful smile. Being a dedicated and enthusiastic individual, he delivers faultless service with impeccable attention to detail always with a spring in his step. In his spare time, Roy is the rock star of the yacht and loves to entertain with his guitar and singing skills.
Dewa comes from the north of Bali. He has a solid hospitality background and has worked for International clientele in many places around the island. Dewa is very friendly and calm at the same time, he developed a passion for barmanship. He makes a mean chili Mojito and enjoys creating new cocktails to delight guests.
Joko comes from a background of customer service in high-end hotels and cruise liners. He is eager to provide guests with the highest standard of service and ensure Lamima is looking its best at all times. Joko is very friendly, helpful, and fast. He looks forward to making your time on Lamima an unforgettable experience. He likes cycling and swimming.
Febri is from central Java. She gained experience in hospitality for several years on European cruise liners.
Febri loves traditional Javanese dancing, and during her spare time, she likes to join other crew members for a fitness session.
Khiat is from Papua and the most respected crew member on Lamima. He joined the yacht during the build in Sulawesi and knows Lamima better than anyone. Khiat is a certified dive master and loves to help guests make the most of the different watersports Lamima has to offer. Being a native Papuan, he is skilled in using the dugout canoe (Jukung).
From a young age the ocean has been an integral part of Rizky’s life. Growing up by the sea in southern Java, sailing and fishing were a daily occurrence. This passion for the ocean lead him into the yachting industry which he has been a part of for the past 9 years. Rizky has a real passion for film and photography and will create a memorable compilation of your voyage.
Aliman comes from Eastern Java, where woodworking is the field of expertise. He used to be a marine carpenter in Bali before the love of the ocean and travel drove him to join Lamima. Aliman brings experience along with good humor to Lamima and is also known a MacGyver as he can fix anything. In his spare time, he loves football and is a talented striker. He loves to play with the locals in the villages that Lamima visits.
Ali has been involved in diving all over Southeast Asia for the last 18 years and knows all of cruising paths and dive sites. Ali previously worked with Captain Ifan on a 12-month exploration voyage and is proud that his photos have been published in various marine life books. Ali has a contagious smile and loves life to the full. He enjoys sharing his passion for diving with beginners and ensuring their first experience is the very best. In his spare time Ali loves to surf and practice his Zumba moves.
Yudha grew up in Java and Bali. He went to the culinary school in Nusa Dua and worked in some of the high-end restaurants and 4 stars hotel as an executive chef in Bali. Before joining Lamima, Yudha worked for 5 years as the head chef on Sailing Yacht Silolona. Yudha has a wide range of culinary skills and loves to cook Mediterranean dishes as well as Asian.
He is very enthusiastic and creative. He will make sure that you will love any single dish during your stay.
Yudha is a talented guitar player and singer and is a great addition to our famous “Lamima Band”.
Roni is from Yogyakarta and loves to experience new dishes. He has a wide scope of international recipes from Japanese to Italian and of course Indonesian and is master of making sambal. You can see that Roni cooks to make people happy and his mission is to assist Ulum in providing you with some of the most delightful food that you have had the pleasure of experiencing. He loves to joke and is one of the lead singers in the Lamima band.
Koko is from Bali, she was trained in the renowned massage school of Bali Chytra International. Koko loves the adventure and diversity that being on Lamima brings not to mention being able to work in spectacular surroundings. Koko is also a trained Yoga instructor and practices yoga every morning at sunrise. Guests are more than welcome to join her.
Putu is from West Bali. She is a very kind person and passionate about massage. Putu has been working for many years in five-star Spas in Indonesia and on cruise liners. Other than English and Bahasa, Putu speaks fluently Spanish, Portuguese, and basic Italian. She likes traditional Balinese dancing.
Solichin is from Java and started his career in the merchant marine. Solichin can fix any problem which might arise thanks to his experience and expertise which is very handy in remote places.
Puguh is from East Java. He has been sailing on commercial ships since 1999 and joined Lamima soon after her launch. He is very knowledgeable and holds a Class 1 engineers ticket making Lamima the only Phinisi to have such a qualified Engineer. When not onboard, Puguh loves mountaineering and has ascended every mountain and volcano in Indonesia.
Topian started his career in Java in the merchant marine as a surveyor. He learnt of the great camaraderie on Lamima and knew this was the yacht for him. He loves cast fishing and can always find the best spot for big barracuda.
Wicak is from Jogjakarta, a vibrant city from central Java.
He worked on several commercial ships and dive boats as an electrician before joining Lamima. Wicak likes to set up audio and video system, and during his holidays, he enjoys climbing mountains.
You can also call him Elec as it is his normal nickname on most of the ships.
