Cruising Mergui Archipelago
The Myanmar – Thailand border is very close so by the first morning we were already in the famous Mergui Archipelago. Cruising this area is wonderful as the islands are in pristine condition (strict anti-logging is in place here) while the waters are blue and bays offer white sand beaches. Our guests enjoyed our onboard entertainment throughout with massages being top of the agenda. Every meal was created with love and imagination and proved to be a particular highlight. We paddle boarded and kayaked deep into the mangroves, sunbathed on sandy spits in private bays, visited a Moken sea gypsy village, snorkeled, dived and walked through a rainforest to reach a community of fisherman gathering sea cucumbers.
What a trip, Lamima crew can’t wait to return.
